What has happened to journalism in the US? The country of Bernstein and Woodward, of Ben Bradlee, of Joan Didion, of Katharine Graham, of Gay Talese, of Lillian Ross, of Robby Robinson, no longer wants objective journalism, a journalism that listens to all parts of a story, What a contrast, that does not hide. The latest demo is this misleadingly titled documentary, Allen v. Farrow, which is presented as a journalistic genre when it really is a crude Farrow propaganda operation against Woody Allen, in addition to being stretched like gum to achieve an unnecessary serial format.
