Prelude No 2 in C Minor, is a keyboard composition written by Johann Sebastian Bach. It is the second prelude and fugue in the first book of The Well-Tempered Clavier, a series of 48 preludes and fugues by the composer. It was used by Woody Allen for Irrational Man.

Did Woody Allen already knows he’ll use Bach’s Prelude No. 2 in C Minor when he he was directing Emma Stone playing the piano ? Jill Pollard/Emma Stone is moving her head right and left while performing the piece, but except a right hand jump toward the end, this prelude is played right in the center of the keyboard and the two hands don’t move at all.
